Iceni Botanical Artists : exhibition of paintings of rare wild flowers

Iceni Botanical Artists (I.B.A.) are holding an exhibition of paintings of rare wild flowers from the Brecklands at Clare Hall, Herschel Road, Cambridge, CB3 9AL. The Gallery will be open daily 9 am – 6 pm from 8th May until 24th June 2015.

I.B.A. members, including ArtworksAlison Jones, have been working on this project for three years, and hope to produce a publication of the collection in due course. Iceni Botanical Artists was established in 2010.

Eleonora Knowland: retrospective exhibition at The Bank

Eleonora Knowland : RETROSPECTIVE

The themes that seem to be a constant in my work are light, colour and simplicity. I aim to get to the essence of what I am painting without too much information getting in the way. I like the viewer to bring their own emotions and experiences to the work when they spend time looking at it.

Collecting together work for the retrospective has been very interesting, giving me an overview to my approach. I have also found it enjoyable seeing the work again; they feel like old friends.
