ARTWORKS: Your Personal Data and General Data Protection Regulations 2018 (GDPR)

ARTWORKS uses your personal data – your contact information – to inform you about our annual exhibition and other Artworks events (see below). We do not share personal data or contact details of our artists, guest artists, supporters or patrons with any other organisation.

ARTWORKS wants to make sure that any personal or contact details we hold about our supporters is accurate and stored with their consent to comply with GDPR. You can enquire about or update information we may already hold by contacting our Secretary via the CONTACT page.

ARTWORKS Website
The ARTWORKS website is hosted by WordPress. If you choose to ‘follow’ this website, you will be a registered user with WordPress, and any updates will appear in your WordPress websites following list. To receive notification updates on our BLOG only (news updates) you consent to WordPress using your email to send you email notifications. You can unsubscribe from our news blog updates at any time via the link in the notification email. This website also uses ‘Cookies’; a website cookies notice will appear on your first visit to this website. No personally-identifiable information is collected, but cookies will collect aggregated data about how visitors browse and use the website for statistical purposes (which pages viewed, referring links, social media clicks, etc). APPLYING TO ARTWORKS
Artworks collects and stores your personal data – including your name, address, telephone and email – to process your artist application, to contact you regarding your application, to invite you to our selection day, and to notify you of the results of the selection day. By completing an application form, you consent to sharing this information with us. You can enquire about the details we hold about your artist application by contacting our Membership Secretary, Eileen Revett via the Apply / Membership page.

ARTWORKS Private View Invitations
ARTWORKS uses your personal data – your contact information (name and address or email) – to send you a personal invitation to the private view of our annual exhibition. We send invitations via post and email. When you sign up to receive an e-invitation by email, you consent to our email provider Mailchimp storing and using your email for that purpose only. You can unsubscribe via the link in the invitation email. Postal invitations have a reply-to-address to update or be removed from the Artworks mailing list. ARTWORKS Art Buyers
ARTWORKS is a successful selling art exhibition. We request names and addresses of art buyers to facilitate art sales from the annual exhibition only. This also forms part of after-sales when buyers and/or the artists arrange collection or delivery of purchased artwork after the exhibition. Your personal contact information is not shared or used for any other purpose.

ARTWORKS Schools
ARTWORKS is committed to art for everyone, notably engaging young people with contemporary art and artists through our Artworks schools programme. We request and store contact names and addresses of schools and educators to facilitate group visits to the annual exhibition and artists workshops in schools. You can update or withdraw any details we may hold about you and your school by contacting our Schools Coordinator, Kit Price-Moss on the Artworks Schools page.
