schools

Artworks believes every young person should have the opportunity to discover and experience original art. Every year we welcome primary, middle, and secondary school students to visit our annual exhibition in September. While some school groups simply enjoy visiting the exhibition, other groups come prepared with art materials to sketch, draw and paint and continue with their art project back at school.

Artworks also offers workshops to schools who are interested in working with one of our artists. Based on an application process, Artworks funds up to four artist workshops a year. The teacher or school chooses an artist with whom they would like to work from the current Artworks exhibition. The teacher works with the artist to plan a workshop. The artist then spends a day in the school supporting the work of the students.

N.b. Applications for Artworks in Schools are currently in review.
