ARTWORKS The final weekend: Mini Artworks Prize Draw, and more!

We have enjoyed some beautiful autumnal days while at Blackthorpe Barn, and have been warmed by the hundreds of visitors to the Artworks exhibition. Sales from the Artworks shop and exhibition have been good, which is support for our artists and for the continued success and progress of the Artworks group. We thank you all. This weekend is our final weekend!

On Saturday 5th October 2019 at 3pm, the popular Mini Artworks Prize Draw takes place. There are thirty original mini artworks to be won, so do visit us before 3pm on Saturday if you wish to buy prize draw tickets. Winners will be notified via telephone, if unable to stay for the prize draw. The Artworks Mini Artworks Prize Draw funds the schools workshops, and we also make a donation to a regional charity. This year it is Inside Out, an Ipswich based charity offering free creative arts workshops for mental health & wellbeing, run by professional artists.

Sunday 6th October 2019 is your last chance to visit Artworks: we are open from 10am, visit before 2pm to enjoy the exhibition in its entirety. Buyers of artwork can collect from 4pm on Sunday (remember to bring your purchase receipt). We have two teams to assist on the final day, on the sales desk and packing/collection of sold artworks.

If you are on Instagram, follow us @artworkseast and share your snaps of your favourite artworks with the hashtag #artworkseast. We have already seen & shared many photos!

A reminder: you can download the Artworks 20th Annual Exhibition 2019 catalogue (PDF 3.4MB).

There are only three more ‘Meet the Artists’; a chance to learn more about their art & ideas, supported by technical demos or examples of work in progress.

Friday 4th October 2019: Christine McKechnie: Watercolour painted paper collage

Saturday 5th October 2019: Alison Jones: Flower painting in watercolour and washes

Sunday 6th October 2019: Hazel Bradshaw: Lino cutting and printing

Lastly, although the Artworks exhibition is drawing to a close, you can stay in touch with our news via updates from this very blog (see left column to sign up to blog emails).
