Helen Dougall: new exhibition at Edmund Gallery, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk

Helen Dougall, painter, printmaker and batik artist, has a new exhibition opening soon at The Edmund Gallery in Bury St Edmunds, from from Saturday 21st March – Thursday 26th March 2015.

Helen is sharing the exhibition with the ceramicist, Rob Wheeler.

The Edmund Gallery is situated on Angel Hill and is run by St Edmundsbury Cathedral as a non-profit art space. The gallery occupies rooms previously used by the cathedral’s education department. This exhibition is open to the public with kind permission of the Dean and Chapter of St Edmundsbury Cathedral

ARTWORKS: Meet the Artist : Katie Millard

Today, Saturday 13 September 2014, Katie Millard will be Artwork’s artist in residence at the Artworks exhibition at Blackthorpe Barn. She will be in the demonstration area of the Artworks exhibition from 10.15 am to 4.30 pm.

Katie Millard exhibits widely in the East Anglian region and is well known for her expressive and spontaneous watercolours of the wild and unspoilt places of north Norfolk, a coastal region she frequently visits. More recently, she has begun exploring bold elements of abstraction in her work. Katie says: I work very quickly, straight onto thick watercolour paper with only a brush and the flow of the paint to dictate the outcome.

The Artworks exhibition is open daily 10am to 5pm to 28 September 2014. Admission is free, free exhibition catalogue, ample free parking, wheelchair accessible.

We also have the Artworks Shop selling small framed and unframed artwork, including original prints, paintings, ceramics and sculpture, together with a wide range of greetings cards and postcards. There is also a café selling light refreshments.
