I am primarily a watercolour artist and have been painting the Norfolk coast for many years. I am interested in the sublimity of nature and I exhibit these works in the Quay Art Gallery in Wells, Norfolk.
More recently, I have also been looking closer in; looking under a brick or a stone to see what lies beneath, how colours differ from when light is present. I have also been looking at time and how it affects the nature of life – such as a thought, an overheard whisper – that fleeting moment of noticing a colour out the corner of the eye, or a shadow passing across an object, here then gone, fading and reborn. I have been experimenting with mixed media and this is a tantalising project with lots to offer, channelling my ideas in the ever changing dynamics of the world around me.
