Sketchbooks supply me with my subject matter as drawing in pen or crayon is essential for me when I’m out and about, on walks or visiting people and places, or watching wildlife.

Observations quickly put down on paper with notes, or careful studies of details such as pattern, texture, light and shade, distil and capture the moment. This information is important inspiration for me to rework and use in printmaking, whether it’s screen printing or etching.

Biography
I studied at Wimbledon School of Art and Birmingham College of Art and Design, specialising in Fine Art, latterly taking an MA in Art and Design in Education at De Montfort University, Leicester. I taught for many years and exhibit regularly.
