Inspiration for my paintings and handmade prints, such as linocuts and etchings, come from my observations of the world around me. I am never without sketchbooks for drawing quick images and ideas on the go. The past year has brought me closer to my garden and local areas, as I’ve enjoyed studying and recording the wildlife and plants, and the shapes, colours and patterns as the seasons change, by working either inside looking out, or outside ‘plein air’, enjoying whatever the weather brings.
