Today at Artworks: Watercolour Trees with Katie Millard!

Today, Tuesday 17 September 2013, Artworks artist Katie Millard will be demonstrating creative watercolour techniques in the Artworks exhibition.
Katie Millard : Painting Trees in Watercolour

Katie says she is most inspired by North Norfolk, struck by the unspoilt nature of the area, the magnificent skies and windswept beaches:

Seeing the sand being lifted and swirling in the sky by the vagaries of the weather, fascinates me. Watching rain approaching and the way it affects the sea and the landscape I find awe inspiring.
See Katie Millard demonstrating how to paint trees in watercolours, in the main gallery today, from 10.15 am – 4.30 pm.
Stay tuned to the Artworks blog for daily Artworks exhibition news and updates, as a different artist will be demonstrating in the Artworks exhibition every day.
The Artworks annual exhibition is a wonderful opportunity to see and buy new and original contemporary work by some of East Anglia’s most inspired and creative artists under one roof. Read more about the Artworks artists.

Ten Artworks artists in Ad Libitum Art Exhibition

More exhibition news on the Artworks blog!

Ten Artworks artists (past & present) have paintings currently on show at the stunning venue, The Apex, in Bury St Edmunds this November. The exhibition is called Ad Libitum, in reference to artists having a ‘free hand’ in their work.

All the work in the exhibition is new to Artworks, having not been exhibited in any previous Artworks exhibitions. The light & space of the upstairs gallery is a wonderful backdrop to everyone’s work – we hope you will visit if you are in the area!

The nine Artworks artists featured in this show are: Mike Ashley, Gillian Crossley-Holland, Helen Dougall, Helen Du Feu, Janet French, Jazz Green, Eleonora Knowland, Marianne Koby-Johnson, Katie Millard and Gabrielle Stoddart.

Some exhibition photographs will be posted shortly. The exhibition, Ad Libitum, runs from 29th October to 28th November 2012 (full details below).
