Walberswick Exhibition : Art with a Sea View

SUMMER ART EXHIBITION: PAINTINGS, PRINTS & COLLAGES

Artworks artists Anne Paton and Jazz Green are exhibiting paintings and prints with Frank Beanland, Miles Fairhurst and Julie Noad in a pop-up art exhibition in Walberswick over the August Bank Holiday weekend, Sunday 26 August & Monday 27 August 2018.

On show will be colourful abstracts on paper and canvas, landscapes in oil and acrylic, mixed media collages, drawings and silkscreen prints. All work is for sale.

Walberswick is a village on the Suffolk coast, a popular destination for tourists and a creative retreat for generations of artists, including resident Charles Rennie Mackintosh in 1914-1915 (read more).

Exhibition from 10am to 6pm on Sunday and Monday. Pay & Display car parking nearby at the boatyard or dunes car park.

Directions: Follow road signs to Walberswick from Blythburgh on the A12. The Village Hall is centrally located opposite the village green, next to the access road to the beach car park. Entry to the exhibition is free.

MEDITATIONS at The Aldeburgh Gallery, a new exhibition of recent work by Artworks member Valerie Armstrong, shared with printmaker Brenda Nash.

Artists in East Anglia: apply to exhibit with Artworks in 2018

Artists living and working in East Anglia (Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire & Essex) are invited to apply to exhibit with Artworks in 2018.

All types of contemporary art are considered, including painting and drawing (oil, acrylic, watercolour, collage, mixed media), original printmaking (such as etching, lithography, woodcut), sculpture and 3D (including stone, bronze, glass, ceramics, metalwork), photography, video and multi-media art. We are looking for professional artists whose work will enhance the high quality and range of contemporary art in our annual exhibition.

To apply, download and complete the application form on our membership page. Completed application forms must be returned by Wednesday 31 January 2018. The application form is supplied as a DOC and PDF – application forms can be typed or handwritten, returned by email or by post.

After you have submitted a completed application, you will be invited to present a portfolio of your work in early February 2018 (date to be advised).
