Landscape is my starting point. I try to see patterns that simplify an image in graphic form. Drilling down into the components of landscape – the contours of the land, lakes and waterways, wildlife and plantlife – I find individual elements that inform my art and inspire me through the seasons. I work in a variety of printmaking techniques in response to the subject.

Biography
After a professional career in plant sciences, Diane took up printmaking nearly 20 years ago, training at the Curwen Print Study Centre and at West Dean College.
Much of her work has been inspired by a long time spent living on the Swiss/French border between the Jura mountains and Lac Leman where she studied Ornithology with BirdLife Swiss as part of her lifelong interest in the natural world, and in birds in particular.
Recent Exhibitions
Last year Diane was a guest artist of Daniel J Yeomans RCA at Founex in Switzerland.
Her current project is a series of landscapes in mixed media.
