My work is motivated and influenced by travel and identifies with various landscapes and styles of architecture. By recording these journeys in my numerous sketch books, which are fundamental to my art and architecture practices, they are the inspiration for my drawings, paintings, etchings and design work. In a world of e-mail and instant communications, investing in pencil marks on paper is magic, which for me, pixels will never replace.

Biography
I studied at the Royal College of Art and the Architectural Association. Following graduation, I formed my own design practice, working on a wide variety of design / architectural projects, including two private motor yachts 120 metres and 60 metres, a private Mughal style estate – including a an astronomical observatory , 6 guest villas and a 50 acre garden – the architectural decorative elements were prefabricated in northern India, and the project including the research, sourcing craftsmen and building work, took 20 years.

Throughout my design career I have also always practiced as an artist, illustrating commissioned collections for books, portfolios and exhibitions. This involved travelling extensively as an artist to a variety of locations, including: Greece, India, Egypt, Bhutan, Saudi Arabia & South America. My work is held in private collections, libraries and museums.

Recent Projects
Architecture
West Indies Private Estate , Architectural Project.
I was first commissioned to design and build phase 1 of this project in 1988, which we completed in 2002.  I was subsequently commissioned in 2012 for a second client and we completed phase 2 in 2025.
