Painting is an inexplicable compulsion for me, offering a profound sense of release. Nature and the landscapes that surround me often serve as my inspiration. Living in such a beautiful part of the world, filled with vibrant colours and stunning countryside, I aim for my work to evoke strong emotions and feelings in its viewers.

My art delves into the delicate interplay between imagination and reality, blending the colours, shapes, and textures found in nature with a flourish of artistic freedom. Through my creations, I seek to evoke a sense of wonder, inviting viewers to forge a connection with the intricate beauty of the world around them.

I primarily work with acrylic, oil pastels, watercolour, and various mixed media, and find immense joy in the unpredictability that water and other materials introduce to my art. The journey of each drip, stroke, or blend, and its potential to transform a piece, captivates me. It is this element of the unknown that fuels my creative drive.

Gail’s background in Interior Design and Architecture, having completed a BA Hons degree in Interior Design, and working alongside her husband helping to run his architectural studio, significantly enhances her ability to envision her paintings within various settings.
