Saturday 19 September 2015: Roger Gamble – Acrylics and Ideas

Roger is well-known for his vibrantly painted and often humorous paintings, but in recent times his work has become more minimalist and abstract. Recent paintings focus on the Breckland landscape.

For most of my artistic life I have been a figurative painter, much preoccupied with images of people in commonplace situations, with little ironies and paradoxes. Much of my interest nowadays involves the possibilities offered by the strong horizontals and wide spaces of Breckland, the Fens, and the coastlines of Norfolk.

Roger Gamble will be at the ARTWORKS exhibition from 10am – 4pm.
