Valerie Armstrong: New Solo Exhibition EXPLORATIONS at 142 Gallery, Felixstowe

A solo exhibition of new mixed media paintings by Artworks’ Valerie Armstrong opens today at 142 Gallery in Felixstowe:

“I am excited to be having a solo exhibition in the lovely 142 Gallery in the centre of Felixstowe.

I am a collage artist, and I love to create my own transparent collage papers using stamps, stencils, drawing materials, etc. on wet strength hardwearing tissue and teabag papers.

As artists we are encouraged to work in the gallery during our time exhibiting, so my plan is to use the time to experiment with my gelli plate. A gelli-plate is a base made from flexible gelatine. It is a unique way of making mono-prints which can be simple colour studies or complex layered artworks. “
